I worked on many ambitious projects at Field & Stream that challenged me to create simple, usable products with complex and heavy feature sets. I created heat-mapping tools for deer hunting season, apps to track fishing patterns, and branded video series sites. I took the lead on UX and visual design, which allowed me to create comprehensive, polished products.
Popular Science
Working for Popular Science connected me to a brand that focused on technology. Being ahead of the curve was a must for a brand in this category, and it afforded me an opportunity to work on forward-thinking projects, such as mobile and responsive sites. This helped to set the foundation for my approach to future responsive websites and mobile projects.
Saveur
My work at Saveur spanned the full spectrum from a full site redesign to microsites to sales pitches. One of my challenges in rebranding Saveur was to capitalize on resources that were unique to the brand. An amazing catalogue of high-end, original food photography sets this brand apart, so focusing on this strength was one of the key tenets of the project.
About Me
I am a Digital Creative Director of an award-winning product design and development team at OppenheimerFunds. I have nearly 20 years of experience leading the UX/UI design of websites, mobile applications, online tools, and campaigns. I lead and take part in all aspects of the product design cycle. I run brainstorming and whiteboard sessions with business partners to help prioritize features, functionalities, and determine goals for digital experiences. I also serve dual roles as "player" and "coach". I provide direction and support to my team, and for select projects, I create hands-on assets including sketches, wireframes, clickable prototypes, high-fidelity visual designs, and interaction designs.
